Being able to see is one thing, but being blind really bites. Even though you have lost a sense, the others become much stronger. The brown tabby rolled onto his back and he felt the morning sunrays as they shined through the cracks of the den and hit his face. His eyes slowly opened, although all he could see was nothing, barely even a silhouette. Hazyeyes often felt like he was helpless, like he was just dead weight to his clan. This, of course, wasn't all that great of a feeling, even though he's tried to push it away, the thought just lingers on and on, reminding him day after day.
A shiver went through his body as a breeze blew through the small cracks of the den. Hazyeyes rolled onto his belly and stretched his limbs. Just going to get colder and colder.. He let out a soft sigh.

i'd rather stay awake while i'm asleep His whiskers brushed the sides of the tunnel, and Rootstar adjusted his paws. Then the walls disappeared, blossoming into a medium sized den. Three cats were sprawled about the den, two toms and a female. With a small smile, the leader padded to the side of an old brown tabby.
Dropping the thin mouse he was carrying beside Hazyeyes, Rootstar meowed, "Morning, dad."

The elder lifted his head, and his lips curled into a smile. "Good morning, my son." He meowed, getting onto his paws. Hazyeyes perched himself onto his bedding, his tail wrapping around his fragile body. "How are you doing lately? How did the Gathering go?" Hazyeyes was curious, wondering if anything strange had happened.
